FIPROPHOS 544 is a liquid phosphodegreasing agent suitable for the treatment of ferrous material and steel surfaces before painting in spraying plants.
FIPROPHOS 544 is a special formulation that forms a deposit of iron oxides and phosphates on the surface of the item, with a layer weight of 0.6 ÷ 1.0 g/sq.m. It can also be used for degreasing parts made of aluminium, zinc and their alloys.
Usage and Applications
FIPROPHOS 543 should be used as an aqueous spray solution under the following operating conditions:
treatment time: 2 to 5 minutes
use temperature: 50 ÷ 70°C
concentration 10 ÷30 g/l
bathroom score : 6.8 to 20.6
working pH: 4,2 ÷ 5,5

BATH PREPARATION
For every 1000 litres of solution use 10 to 30 kg of FIPROPHOS 543.
Fill the tank with water and bring it to working temperature; then add the predetermined amount of FIPROPHOS 543 with the pumps running.
Circulate the solution for at least 10 minutes before the first material to be treated is added.
The optimal conditions of use will be provided by Fiprokim Technical Service during plant start-up.

Bathroom control
Take 25 ml sample, add 4-5 drops of phenolphthalein indicator.
Titrate with 0.1 N sodium hydrate solution until colourless to pink stable for at least 20".
The ml of NaOH 0.1 N (sodium hydrate 0.1 N) consumed represents the bath score.
A bath prepared at 20 g/l has a bath score of 13.7 ml.
Power supply
For each missing point, add 1.46 kg of FIPROPHOS 543 to 1000 l of bath water.
Warnings
All parts in contact with FIPROPHOS 543 can be made of AISI 304 steel, avoid yellow alloys in pumps and valves.
