FIPROPHOS 509 is a liquid phosphating agent for the pre-painting treatment of ferrous material.
FIPROPHOS 509 effectively removes processing, protective and molding oils from metal surfaces, simultaneously developing a phosphate coating of 3-8 mgr / dm2 ideal for anchoring paints. To increase the degreasing power and duration of the solutions, it is possible to add the degreasing additive FIPROPLUS 701.

Usage and Applications
1st stage
FIPROPHOS 509 10 -30 g / lt, 35 - 60 ° C; pH 3.5 - 5.5
2nd stage
Rinse with cold running water.
3rd stage
Passivation with FIPROPLUS 704 conc. 0.3 - 0.6% and temp. environment.
In order to avoid oxidation problems, make sure that the pieces are then dried as soon as possible.
To increase the degreasing power, the additive FIPROPLUS 701 in a concentration of 0.1-0.4% can be added to the solution.

Preparation of the solutions
Slowly pour the product into warm or hot water. The construction materials of the plant must be in stainless steel.
Control of bathing
Take 10 ml. of solution to be analyzed and introduce them into the glass beaker (or flask), add 20 ml. of distilled water.
Add 5-8 drops of the FENOLFTALEIN indicator.
The solution will be COLORLESS. Titrate the solution obtained, keeping it stirred, with 0.1 N sodium hydrate until a Pink color is obtained.
This change identifies the end of the titration.
A solution at 10 g / l has a consumption of about 3 ml of 0.1 N sodium hydrate.
Application
To obtain the concentration in g / l, multiply the value obtained by the fixed number “3.3”.
Then bring the concentration to the required value, adding 3.3 Kg of product per 1000 Lt. of bath for each missing point.
